Summer Brushes is an onsite artist retreat based at Longerenong Agriculture College, 229 Longerenong Road, Longerenong, Victoria. The college sets the scene for this five-day intensive workshop program working with one of 15 tutors. Longerenong is a 15-minute drive from Horsham in regional Victoria. It's unique, remote location is the perfect site depicting the Wimmera’s summer landscape.
SB25 offers fully residential or workshop only options upon booking. This is a five-day program with a half day non-teaching mid-week. Select one tutor of your choice for the duration of the week. It is highly recommended that you book early as numbers in workshops and accommodation are strictly limited. The workshops will run Monday – Friday from 9am–4pm and Wednesday half day 9am–12noon. Your workshop booking includes morning tea and lunch. Morning tea is supplied in your workshop with basic tea bags and plunger coffee and some biscuits. Please bring your own diet requirement milk if other than full cream and low fat cows milk and morning snack. The lunch and dinner is professionally catered with fresh menu options daily. All dietary requirements can be arranged (for lunch and dinner only) but you will need to add this detail in the booking notes when booking. The accommodation booking fee includes breakfast and dinner. Our SB25 workshops will take place on campus where all workshop spaces and accommodation are fully air-conditioned! Summer Brushes Twilight Makers Market Sunday 12 January from 7–8:30pm (this will begin after dinner in the courtyard) onsite at Longerenong College. There will be a wide range of quality hand craft and visual art by the tutors and students participating in Summer Brushes. Your accommodation will have shared bathrooms, shared kitchenettes and all rooms are fully air-conditioned. BYO linen – pillow, sheets (single bed), doona and towel. Check-in from Sunday 12 (check-in any time after 2pm) – Saturday 18 January (check-out before 10am). Option 2: includes breakfast and dinner – SOLD OUT! KING Single Bed Rm – 6 nights onsite accommodation $1,050 All rooms are furnished KING single rooms including a small bar fridge, wardrobe, study desk, chair and a TV. There are 3 units – each unit comprises of 7 king single rooms. Each unit will share 4 showers, 4 toilets, kitchen and lounge area – all rooms are fully air-conditioned. All linen will be supplied in rooms. Check-in from Sunday 12 (check-in any time after 2pm) – Saturday 18 January (check-out before 10am). Rooms will NOT be serviced during your stay. Option 3: includes breakfast and dinner – SOLD OUT! Motel Rm – 6 nights onsite accommodation $1,440* All rooms are fully self-contained Queen bedrooms. Each unit comprises of 4 self-contained motel rooms. All rooms are fully air-conditioned. ALL Linen is provided – sheets, doona, pillow & towel. Cancellations must be in writing to email: [email protected] Cancellations to 31 October 2024 – refund 80% Cancellations from 1 November 2024 – refund 50% GrampianArts reserves the right to cancel a workshop if the minimum class enrolment is not reached by 1/12/2024. If a workshop is cancelled, participants will be offered places in other workshop or a full refund if preferred. NOTE: All workshops have material lists and many have a small materials fee payable to your tutor in class. A position in a workshop is reserved once payment of fees has been received.
