Monday 12 – Friday 16 January 2026 – only 1 place left!
Explore the exciting world of contemporary relief printmaking using the medium of Linocut. In this workshop you will be encouraged to develop your art practice using relief-based techniques of linocut, stencil and collagraph to create a hand printed series of both colour and black and white prints. You will learn how to develop a print concept from your own practice, transfer drawings, develop and refine your lino cutting skills, and introduce tonality and depth into your printed images, using the elements of scale and tone.
Kylie creates finely detailed linocuts which she transforms into artist books and paper sculptures. These works and her approach to paper and printmaking are indicative of the potential this workshop can bring to transform your printmaking practice over the week session.
Students are encouraged to bring along some existing drawings and cut lino blocks to develop throughout the week. This might involve you being creatively challenged with your practice by cutting blocks into shapes and using these in the new block you will be designing and cutting in the workshop, if suitable of course.
Suitable for both beginners and students with some printmaking experience who want to extend their practice in contemporary printmaking and learn about Japanese papers and print techniques. All levels
