SKETCHING AND PAINTING WITH IPAD AND PROCREATE – only 1 place left! Discover the iPad and Procreate as a sketchbook and powerful aid to broaden your art-making practice. We begin with a quick review of what people already know about their iPad, Apple stylus and Procreate before learning the minimum tools and methods you’ll need to use Procreate as a sketchbook. We cover working with a range of brushes, erasers, and the basics of the colour palette and layers. In the afternoon it’s learning by doing as we head into the inspiring Botanic Gardens for a practical session of iPad sketch-booking. Day two we extend our skills into basic editing and working with photographs. Then we head out again for a walk-n-draw to the beautiful Venus Baths. The day wraps up with skills to help you make use of your iPad creations; exporting and sharing images and options for publishing, printing, painting and drawing from your images. Aimed at iPad and Procreate Beginners Required for this workshop: iPad, Apple Stylus and Procreate software. Relative fitness: physically capable of low intensity bushwalking. |

FROM DRAWING TO PAINTING - FINDING YOUR OWN WAY – SOLD OUT please click the email link below if you would like to go on the waiting list For artists keen to explore expressive and abstracted art-making beyond representation. Built around Paul’s inspiring drawing and painting practice and philosophy the workshop emphasises, exploration, experimentation, risk taking and persistence on the exciting journey to find your own unique art making approach. Exploration is prized over perfection. We create through drawing and painting in mixed media and acrylic with inspiration from the landscape and memory. Weather permitting, we will do some en plein air studies as inspiration too. Colour plays an important role in Paul’s work so a key component of the workshop will be a review of colour basics and approaches to bringing colour to life in your work. All levels Artists who participate in the 2-day iPad workshop will be well suited to continue into the 4-days using their iPad creations as starting points for further work. |

Much of Paul’s work is inspired by his annual pilgrimages to the Hawkesbury and Arkaroola and the colours, architecture and spirit of the Australian desert. Paul exhibits and works from the Art Farm Gallery and Bloomfield Fine Art on the NSW Central Coast.
