WAX & INK PAINTING Cancelled Be ready to have fun and discover your own creative journey using the versatile mediums in these workshops which provides something for all from ‘craft’ type projects to more ‘fine art’ works. on various papers no larger than A3 size (rice, khadi, watercolour). Learn application of materials and handling of tools etc. Experiment with imbedding onto board, dipping, fusing, adding colour and texture with mixed media techniques giving you few different artworks to take home. DIVE DEEPER – WAX & INK PAINTING Cancelled A repeat of the use of inks & watercolours with wax on various papers no larger than A3 size (rice, khadi, watercolour) & wax onto your own water based painting on paper (for those that already did the weekend workshop) these 4 days will take you further with Encaustic Wax medium enabling you to focus on finding your style. Info notes provided for making Encaustic Wax & set up for use at home. Learn application of materials and handling of equipment, tools etc. Experiment with imbedding onto board, dipping, fusing, incising, stencils, collage, image transfer, shellac burn, adding colour and texture with mixed media techniques giving you few different artworks to take home. Born with a creative spirit and a natural passion for light and colour, Jacki experimented with numerous artistic methods which led her to be immersed in the versatile and ancient Encaustic Wax medium. Jacki has worked with other artists O/S and has developed her own contemporary style over the last fifteen years. It is unlike any other painting medium with a dynamic quality through numerous techniques and combinations of mixed media.
Influences have also come from Australian artists like John Olsen, Aboriginal art and spontaneous discoveries found in nature. Jacki’s commitment to her art has seen her claim awards and exhibit throughout her career as her pieces impresses the individual evoking feelings and memory.
