Gary’s background is in printmaking with particular interest in the relief print and working on various paper types, including Asian varieties. Images are responses to different sites, often abstract, and revealing an essence of place. Research sites include the Blue Mountains and Brisbane Water National Parks in NSW, and places further afield in Northern Australia, Greece, Spain, Italy and Thailand.
Since graduating from COFA, University of NSW in 2004, he has been exhibiting prints and mixed media works on paper regularly. His works have been acquired for public and private collections in Australia and overseas.
