Solar plate etching is a non-toxic intaglio etching process. Using the sun’s natural UV and water rather than toxic acids and solvents to etch the plate with remarkable results. Trudy will take you outside to mindfully observe, draw and forage for inspiration, and then etch with the very sun and water that these specimens are found in. Be inspired as you transform your drawings, into artistic and original fine art prints. ALL LEVELS

Delicate textures and atmospheric depth bring Trudy’s love and empathy for the natural environment directly to the viewer. Trudy enjoys teaching both children and adults in workshops within her studio as well as by invitation to other art facilities.
Her range of textiles and homewares include designer cushions, table runners, tea towels and murals/wallpaper are a transference of her art from paper to fabric. With an ethos of protecting our environment she uses organic product, recycles as much as possible and manufactures in Australia.
Trudy has artwork in the collection of the Olivia Newton-John Cancer & Wellness Centre at the Austin Hospital and other Private Collections throughout Australia, United States of America and the United Kingdom.
