TRUDY RICE  | SOLAR PLATE ETCHING
Please click on the images below in the gallery to view the full photo

Monday 17 – Friday 21 January 2022 Cancelled
Solar plate etching is a non-toxic intaglio etching process. Using the sun’s natural UV and water rather than toxic acids and solvents to etch the plate with remarkable results. Trudy will take you outside to mindfully observe, draw and forage for inspiration, and then etch with the very sun and water that these specimens are found in. Be inspired as you transform your drawings, into artistic and original fine art prints. ALL LEVELS

Delicate textures and atmospheric depth bring Trudy’s love and empathy for the natural environment directly to the viewer. Trudy enjoys teaching both children and adults in workshops within her studio as well as by invitation to other art facilities.

Her range of textiles and homewares include designer cushions, table runners, tea towels and murals/wallpaper are a transference of her art from paper to fabric. With an ethos of protecting our environment she uses organic product, recycles as much as possible and manufactures in Australia.

She is represented by Queenscliff Gallery & Workshop, Lauriston Press, Prints & Drawings, Eagles Nest Gallery, Ayres Inlet and Counterweave Arts, Rome, Italy.
