A fresh new workshop with an enlightened approach to sketching drawing and watercolour painting. Designed to enable you to see light and shade, as its about tone rather than colour. Some demonstrations will also be done on an Apple Ipad particularly useful for travel sketching. Open to all, the course includes studio and some plein air painting. ALL LEVELS

Malcolm Carver is an Artist, and an Architect, who is arguably one of the most talented watercolourists in Australia today yet this is only one of his many outstanding artistic pursuits. Born Sydney 1948, he graduated in architecture at UTS Sydney with Honours and successfully practised that profession for the past 40 years. Malcolm retired from the practice, Scott Carver in 2009. He became a member of the Australian Watercolour Institute in January 2007 and has had 5 solo exhibitions and exhibited with the AWI in many group exhibitions. Malcolm travels the world extensively, holding regular painting and architecture tours. He also teaches The Art of Watercolour in workshops both in Australia and overseas.
