Mahdi Chandler is an experienced mixed media artist and teacher, living and working in southern Tasmania.
She works with a wide range of fibre focused media, has run an annual workshop program for 30 years and has taught in many locations along the eastern seaboard.
Mahdi has recently participated in several Artist Residencies, enabling her to record and distill elements from these environments and make new work.
She works intuitively, exploring, experimenting and problem solving in the process of making. The “what if”, “I wonder” and “failing” brings opportunity to explore new and different pathways that are key to her practice.
