A creative feltmaking journey weaving together the ancient symbolism of the Tree of Life from diverse world cultures with the tactile art of feltmaking. Each person will create 3 unique felted pieces with a focus on felt collage. We will complete a piece of wall art, a scarf or table runner, and a sculptural piece of art with 3D inclusions. We will create unique tree, bark, nature, leaf and flower patterns and textures.

Wendy Bailye is a feltmaker, textile artist and international tutor. She has been making felt for over 30 years. She works fulltime as a practicing artist in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Wendy creates work that references stories from her daily life and travels and loves working with the textures and patterns of the natural world. She particularly loves teaching about the creative process and sampling which helps to develop her work in unique ways.
