By making sample square swatches, we’ll use traditional ways and then break all the rules as we discover new tricks. Learn to crochet seamlessly in the round, create straight edged rows and delve into mixing up hook sizes and yarn weights. Basic crochet skills needed - ie can crochet a traditional granny square. |

DESIGN YOUR OWN CROCHET PATTERNS 1 place left Learn the process of crochet design, step by step, creating your very own crochet square or rows pattern. Using the most common crochet stitches, we’ll play with techniques to create unique stitch patterns. At the end of the workshop, you will have your own repeatable crochet pattern and the skills to successfully produce your own patterns in the future. Confident granny square crochet skills needed - ie you know the most common stitches and techniques. |

Shelley Husband is a prolific crochet pattern designer, publishing 5 books bursting with modern takes on the traditional granny square. Her first book, Granny Square Flair, won the best crochet book of 2019 in the UK. Shelley has a real passion for designing seamless crochet patterns with the aim of teaching others though encouragingly supported patterns to create timeless, classic crochet heirlooms. Based in Narrawong in South West Victoria, Australia, when not designing and publishing new patterns, Shelley teaches crochet around the world via her online presence and traveling around Australia.
