MACRAME TAPESTRY – only 1 place left! This is an introductory Macramé workshop tailored for enthusiastic and imaginative individuals, Lana seeks to spark a passion for learning and creativity. Much like other art forms, Macramé has an irresistible allure. Participants will be taught fundamental knots and guided to design their unique piece. TAPESTRY AND NATURAL DYE Lana will teach natural dyeing and tapestry weaving, offering hands-on experiences that breathe new life into discarded materials. Avocado stones yield blush pink tones, brown onion skins shine bright gold and then transform into olive green hues when paired with iron mordants. Additionally explore Eco printing where wilting flowers imprint delicate patterns onto fabric. Participants will then learn to weave their dyed fibres into bespoke tapestries, creating personalised textile wall hangings through simple yet effective tapestry weaving techniques. All levels |

Lana Scoville is a multi-disciplinary artist, specialising in textiles, natural dyeing, ceramics and sculpture. Her current focus at Loominary space revolves around creating bespoke, large-scale pieces distinguished by their rich texture and innovative and inquisitive use of materials. Lana's textile creations, seek to captivate viewers while reflecting on the intricacies of humanity and the natural world, reflecting the beauty and grandeur but also the complexity and fragility.
Collaborating with the team at Within space, Lana explores monumental sculptures and installations using sustainable, salvaged, and recycled materials, fostering a deep connection with nature. Her work has been showcased at festivals across Australia and is held in numerous private collections. With a Bachelor's degree in Fine Art from RMIT, focusing on Sculpture, and a Master's in Education with a specialisation in Primary art, Lana brings a rich academic background to her artistic endeavours
