Guided by Keith's lifetime of jewellery making and instruction - and his fifteen years of exploration into mobile making - you will create intricate tiny sculptures on your body that dance and spin, activated by your movement and the very air around you. Working with simple tools and easy to learn techniques, you'll employ found materials, wire, sheet metal and more to create objects of whimsy, wonder and wanderlust - with your body as the canvas! Keith Lo Bue is a jeweller, sculptor, teacher, capmaker and self-described 'stuffsmith' who has work in many major collections, including the Smithsonian Institution, Los Angeles Museum of Fine Art (LACMA) and the Museum of Arts & Design (MADMuseum), NYC. His work has been exhibited worldwide.
Books featuring Keith’s work include Inspired Jewelry: From the Museum of Arts and Design; One of a Kind: American Art Jewelry Today; 1000 Rings; On Body and Soul: Contemporary Armor to Amulets and The Compendium Finale Of Contemporary Jewellery Makers, plus scores of magazines.
His workshops have been presented across the United States, Canada, Australia and France, as well as online worldwide. Lo Bue lives and works in Sydney, Australia.
