GREVILLEA – WIRE WRAPPING AND CONSTRUCTION – only 1 place left! In this workshop students will learn how to make a beautiful grevillea using wire wrapping and sewing techniques, this unique form of construction has been developed by Jennie-maree. You will be guided through the different stages of construction and learn how to make buds as well as full blooms and a couple of different techniques for foliage. All levels* *Some basic machine sewing skills required. Free motion machine sewing skills helpful but not necessary as Jennie-maree will guide you through and teach you these skills. Note: There will be a lot of winding, so hence can be physical on hands. |

BLOOMING BOTANICALS – BOTANICAL TEXTILE SCULPTURES – SOLD OUT please click the email link below if you would like to go on the waiting list In this workshop you will have the opportunity to bring your favourite blooms to life in fabric and thread. You will learn lots of different techniques along the way from free motion embroidery on water soluble fibre, 3D appliqué and construction techniques. You will be guided along the way with how to develop your chosen subject as well as learning how to produce a wide variety of flora. All levels* *Some basic machine sewing skills required. Free motion machine sewing skills helpful but not necessary as Jennie-maree will guide you through and teach you these skills. |

Jennie-maree Tempest is an artist that specialises in reproducing the botanical world in fibre and thread in both a realistic and contemporary manner.
Jennie-maree has been a creative all of her life with many years of teaching experience and a Diploma of Textile Arts.
Now residing on the beautiful Bass Coast of Victoria, she spends many an hour creating embroidered native flora from her purpose-built barn studio, using both free motion machine embroidery, appliqué and construction skills that she has developed into her own style and technique.
