Insta anzaraclarkartist
Anzara Clark is a multidisciplinary artist/designer who combines traditional craft and contemporary experimental approaches; exploring and stretching the limits and intersections of paper, fibre manipulation, and textile processes. Her work challenges assumptions about paper as a material and as a creative vehicle for textile artworks, garment forms, and functional accessories.
Influenced by her learning in Japan, Anzara’s studio practice and teaching focus on contemporary applications of Eastern paper textile traditions in western creative contexts. She has shown wearable paper couture collections in Australia and Italy, and published Paper As Textile, a comprehensive learning resource for creating and using paper textiles.
