JEWELLERY FROM SUBLIMATION PRINTED METAL Workshop full waiting list being taken Sublimation printing is a very exciting and simple technique of transferring images onto metal and plastic using heat. In this class, electronic files of images and photos will be printed on to metal and plastic sheets. A variety of techniques will be taught to then create items of jewellery from the printed metal. You will be able to print your own images. |

SHADOW BOXES: 3D ASSEMBLAGES FROM METAL only 2 place left Vintage tins are perfect for shadow boxes as they provide a readymade frame. You will learn simple techniques to cut images from metal as well as a variety of joining and construction techniques to build your shadow boxes. If you attend the 2 day sublimation printing course, you will be able to use your own images in your shadow box. |

Anna Davern is a Melbourne based jeweller and object maker. She has a Masters degree from RMIT Gold and Silversmithing and exhibits regularly and widely. Anna has been teaching for many years and runs regular sublimation printing workshops at Northcity4. Anna’s large scale diorama The Golden Lands of the Sunny South won the directors choice and the people’s choice awards at the 2017 Victorian Craft Award.
Anna explores Australian cultural identity in her jewellery and dioramas. She is interested in the miniature object and the incorporation of narrative and humour in her work.
