As a committed pastel artist and an accredited Master Pastellist with over 35 years of experience with this medium, I still thrill at painting with soft pastel. It is as if pastels were made for me. I grew up in beautiful Christchurch NZ, spending endless hours in gardens and the stunning landscape of this country. This experience has shaped my world, almost indelibly etched within my being, and is a huge player in my subject choices today.
Over the years I have played an extremely active role within the Pastel Society of Australia Inc. This service included the role of President for an extended period.
As a teacher by profession, I have found it pure delight to unfold the delicate intricacies of this medium to those wishing to learn. I have organized and taught numerous International plein air workshops throughout Europe, including the UK, and in Australia.
