MONOCHROMATIC BEAUTY – DRYPOINT PRINTMAKING This workshop provides the basics of drypoint printmaking techniques. Participants will aim at creating beautiful monochromatic prints, using plastic plates and recycled materials, such as a so-called tetra pack (a milk carton). This workshop is suitable for printmakers of all levels, including beginners, who want to learn drypoint which requires an etching press. It can be attended independently or can be attended together with a four-day drypoint workshop that will cover various techniques to enhance monochromatic works, including a la poupee, chine-colle and colour surface roll. EXPERIMENTING WITH DRYPOINT PRINTMAKING This workshop provides the basics of drypoint printmaking techniques as well as additional techniques to enhance the beauty of drypoint. Participants will be introduced to various materials and tools to make beautiful and interesting prints. In this workshop, participants will use plastic plates. Learn how to create monochromatic drypoint prints, using plastic plates, and experiment with chine-colle, a la poupee and relief roll up on a drypoint plate to embellish them. All levels |
