EXPERIMENTAL POETIC PAINTERLY EXPRESSIONS DEEP DIVE This workshop is a more intensive/experimental version of the two day workshop, however participation in both will not be necessary. Learn how to develop a unique visual and conceptual language by exploring abstraction, poetry, drawing, collage, found object assemblage and painting. Each exercise will inform the next so that at the end of the workshop, participants will take home a mini body of work. Participants will also make their own brushes to use during the workshop and to take home. All levels |

Ileigh Hellier is an artist from Mulubinba (Newcastle), NSW, now living and working in Nipaluna (Hobart). Ileigh is primarily a painter although she works in a range of other mediums including printmaking and sculpture. Ileigh was a finalist in both the Waverley Art Prize and the Deakin University Small Sculpture Award in 2024 and has received commended awards in both the Jacaranda Drawing Prize in 2022 and The John Glover Prize in 2020. Her work is held in both public and private collections.
