MORE ABSTRACTED… – only 2 places left! This workshop/s will explore how to apply your “unique self” to your paintings. They are for the absolute beginner through to the more experienced. You will learn the basics in composition, colour, value, line, shape and texture as well as techniques to help you compose abstracted artworks from nature and the landscape. The classes will focus mainly on acrylic applications with some practice in mixed media such as oil sticks and graphite as well as glazing medium for layering. All levels |

Charlotte Ivey is an artist from Aotearoa/New Zealand, currently based at 23a Studios in Brunswick, Naarm. She works across a range of mediums, specialising in abstract painting. She studied Philosophy of Art at the University of Canterbury and has a wealth of life experience in navigating creative industries and developing personal practice. Much of her recent work is led by influences of the body and distorted perceptions of external environments. She is increasingly influenced by Australian geology and flora.
