Grampians Brushes offers quality art courses set in Halls Gap and Pomonal in the heart of the Grampians National Park, (Western Victoria).

Grampians Brushes: Set in Halls Gap and Pomonal, in the stunning Grampians National Park, the annual workshop program for painters and print makers provides an opportunity for participation in two, four or six day workshops with some of Australia's best artists and tutors for introduction level to experienced artists.
 
Each year sees some of your favourite tutors return along with new tutors offering workshops to entice you to explore different mediums, techniques and processes.
 
You have the option of:
2 day workshop: Saturday 13 – Sunday 14 ​September 2025
4 day workshop: Monday 15 – Thursday 18 September 2025
6 day workshop: Saturday 13 – Thursday 18 September 2025

Workshops run 9am – 4pm.
Morning tea and lunch are provided at your workshop. 
Catering is supplied by the local bakery and will comprise of a salad roll, muffin or slice and piece of fruit daily. Please advise of your diet requirements upon booking. If you require specific dietary needs that cannot be catered for by the bakery please bring your own.
 
Book your own accommodation in Halls Gap or Pomonal. There are many styles and levels to choose from. Our website has a list of some of the accommodation options in Halls Gap and the places listed do offer a discount to Grampians Brushes participants.
 
Halls Gap has a wide range of evening meal options, from local take away, cafes and restaurants. There is a small supermarket with good supplies if you are choosing to self-cater. Local wineries have available award-winning wines for your enjoyment.
 
Join other students and tutors for evening meals, exhibitions, bushwalks and more. A full program of activities will be forwarded to enrolled participants in August. Partners, family and friends are welcome at all evening activities. As part of our opening night there is an artist market, and at the GrampianArts Market Place situated at the Halls Gap HUB. Senior Art Supplies will be selling specialist art supplies, Dairing selling speciality papers and Fibreworks.

It is highly recommended that you book early as numbers in workshops are strictly limited. We ask you if possible to please pay for your workshop in full when you are making your booking. A workshop place in not guaranteed until full payment is received.

2 day workshop

4 day workshop 
(Monday 15 – Thursday 18 September 2025)

6 day workshop

• Early bird booking (booking and payment by 1/7/25) $840
• Full fee $960

Both 2 & 4 day workshops
Early bird (2 day & 4 day booked & paid by 1/7/25) $840
You MUST book a 2&4 day workshop together to receive the early bird price $840

Friday evening Makers Market (seller) $35            

NOTE: All workshops have requirement lists and many have a small materials fee payable to your tutor in class. A position in a workshop is reserved once payment of fees has been received. Your class requirements list is available on our website on each tutors page. 

Cancellations to 1 July 2025 – refund 80% of fees paid; 
Cancellations from 2 July 2025 – refund 50% of fees paid.

Tolerance and respectful behaviours
For the enjoyment of our workshop programs the Team at GrampianArts is committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all participants. To ensure a positive experience for everyone, including GrampianArts Committee members, volunteers, tutors, students and traders, we ask that you consider your interactions and behaviours during all parts of the program. GrampianArts has a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of violence, harassment, or intimidation. This includes physical, verbal, and emotional abuse. Once reported and investigated, any violation will result in a reminder of this policy and removal from the workshop if behaviours continue.

By participating in this program, you agree to uphold the principles of respect and tolerance and contribute to a welcoming and enjoyable environment conducive to creativity, sharing and learning.
