Develop your interest in fibre arts and textiles at Grampians Texture. An opportunity to work with Australian and international textile tutors in 2, 4 and 6 day workshops.
Seventeen fantastic Australian and international tutors cover topics of: felting, jewellery, print making, books, dyeing, crotchet, leather, stitching by hand and machine, spinning, fabric and fibre.
Grampians Textures Traders
Saturday 14 to Thursday19, 8 am – 5pm
Traders selling hard to source and exotic textiles and craft supplies at the Galleria, Halls Gap Community Centre. Selling a range of fabrics, fibres, books, buttons and much more to tempt the textile artists.
Grampians Texture Twilight Makers
5 pm – 7 pm Saturday 18 March
Grampians Texture Twilight Makers where students and tutors sell their wares. This should be a busy evening as the market is being advertised extensively locally. The market will be on the lawn in front of the Stony Creek shops. It is a lovely place to relax under the trees after class to catch up with friends, a glass of cool drink and lots of opportunities for different dinner options, from pizza to more formal dining.

DESIGN & STITCH
Innovative fabric piecing and stitching
Natural fabrics used are bought, recycled, swapped or inherited and they are manipulated and altered with paint, dye or machine or hand stitching for further embellishment. Both traditional and experimental fabric piecing has been used with stitching used for embellishment that reflects the design each individual art work.

Judith Burke and Just Felt Like It
FELT LANDSCAPE, FLOWERS & STITCH
Inspirations can come from many places, looking at a sunrise or sunset over the maintains, views from a rise looking over a spectacular landscape, flowers or abstract shapes. Seeing how you can interpret the ideas into a wonderful felt creation is the aim of this exhibition.

"In my fabric collages, I carefully select each piece of fabric to make an individual contribution to the final piece of art. Fragments of woven colour and texture are carefully arranged, layered, pinned and sewn together to create the final piece.
